Q:
Why was the Michigan Dental Foundation formed?
The Michigan Dental Foundation was formed to provide the dental community with a way to support its profession and communities in the form of charitable contributions. Other professional associations such as the Michigan State Medical Society and the Michigan Bar Association already have successful, growing Foundations that have donated to many worthwhile programs. In doing so, these professions are able to magnify their professions within the state. The Michigan Dental Foundation is designed to do the same for its profession.

Q:
Where will the money go?
Contributions will be used to fund programs that strive to educate or increase awareness of the importance of dental health within Michigan; in addition, a scholarship fund will be available to students wishing to pursue the dental profession or to advance their education within the profession. Formed in 1998, the Foundation is in its infancy - as its pool of contributions grows, its ability to expand on its vision will be amplified.
